My Thoughts: Absolutely Loved It!
When two polar opposites are tasked with working together for the sake of a sweet baby girl, you can only guess what the result will be. However, you really can't guess. The way author Tina Radcliffe weaves the story is so full of surprises and great moments that it will completely keep you guessing.
I absolutely loved Sadie and Drew's story. My heart went out to them the minute they took on baby Mae and the challenges it involved. Their journey was at times painful, at times heartfelt and at times humorous. Their approaches to child care was another reflection of just how different they were. While one used the "by the book" techniques, the other used the "hands-on education" techniques. The result was a joy to watch and had me smiling more than once.
I also loved the the secondary characters as well as the setting of the Lazy M. The author's descriptive writing of their conversations and the setting made me feel like I was right there with them and had me wishing that I were. You could sense the strong family bond they shared, the love they had for each other and their strong faith in God. This combination is an absolute winner of a story and one that I highly recommend.
