Lesson From a Fly by Dali Castillo

After finishing some shopping, I got into my car to go home when I noticed a fly on my windshield.  I didn't think much of it since I figured it would fly off soon enough.  However, as I drove off, the fly remained.

At this point I was going about 40 mph and thought surely the thing will leave, but instead, there it stayed.  It almost seemed as if it were holding on for dear life especially when I got to the next road where I had to increase my speed to 65 mph.  That little fly persisted to hang onto my windshield and just stayed there, even at 65 mph. He.did.not.budge. A few more seconds went by, and eventually, the fly took off.

Now, for the record, I truly dislike flies.  I think they're just gross, disgusting, and annoying. Although that is the case,  I have to say that I learned a lesson from that fly.  I learned that just like the fly would not let go of my windshield, I should never let go of God.  There will be times when winds may come, trials may come, situations where I can't see down the line of what's going to happen will come, where I don't know what to do and am unsure...all of these will come.  However, through all of this, I have to trust God and hang onto Him for dear life, like that fly was hanging onto the windshield. I need to cling to Him and not let go. In doing so, God will always be faithful, and He will always come to the rescue. We won't have to let go, because He will have us in His arms. He will guide us, and He'll make a way where we think there is no way. All we have to do is hold onto Him with faith and trust. And that is a lesson from a fly.
